DIY Wish Bracelets

Last year my friend Dalal gifted me wish bracelets. The idea is to make a wish as you tie it on your wrist and wear it until the string breaks and when it does your wish will come true. I loved the bracelets so much that I made my own. They make great stocking stuffers of gifts. They are also quick and easy to make. Here is how you can make your own.

I bought all my supplies at Michaels

  • Beads
  • Embroidery floss
  • Scissors
  • Card stock
  • Tape

Cut the embroidery floss larger than needed. Divide the floss so that only use 2 or 3 threads per bracelets. You want the thread to be thin so that it will eventually wear and break. String the bead(s) to the middle and make a double or triple knot on either side of the bead.

You can make your cards by hand or print them. To secure the bracelet cut the edges of the card and tie the bracelet and place a sticker or piece of tape on the back. You can use the same wording as I did.

When the cord breaks or wears through

That is when your wish comes true

To find the healing properties of the stones you can use a book such as The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall or find the stones on one of these sites:

If you make them send me a photo. I’d love to see your bracelets!
