Yoga sequence of the week – yoga for office workers

Sitting for prolonged periods affects our posture and tightens and weakens certain parts of our body.

Sitting at a desk can:

  • lead to bad posture with a rounded upper back and shoulders and with the head forward
  • over-activate and tighten chest, hip flexors and low back
  • under-activate and weaken mid-back, neck, and shoulders, abs and glutes
  • cause shoulder and neck pain and headaches, among other symptoms
